Seth Rollins shocked the world when he cashed in the money in the bank and inserted himself to the main event of Wrestlemania 31. This marked the first time a superstar has cashed a MITB contract at Wrestlemania. When Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns took each other apart, ever the opportunist ,Rollins (who lost his match against Randy Orton earlier in the night in one of the best match finishes in Wrestlemania history) made one of the perfect cash-in's since its inception.
The next night on Monday night RAW, an irate Brock lesnar invoked his rematch clause but Rollins made an excuse of ' being Jet lagged ' and told he was not going to defend the title. Lesnar went after Rollins but he scurried away. Brock lesnar went out of control as he threw the announce table on top of commentators, JBL and Booker T , f-5' d Michael cole and a camera man and spat against Stephanie Mcmahon, causing her to suspend Brock indefinitely.
Randy orton was possibly next in line for the title shot since he beat Rollins at Wrestlemania, but a triple threat match was made between Orton, Ryback and Roman Reigns in which Orton won. For extreme rules, to choose the stipulation, kane made matches for both Orton and Rollins and the winner chooses the stipulation. Orton beat Ceasaro and Tyson Kidd in a 2 on 1 handicap match which resulted Kane to change Rollin's opponent from Dolph ziggler to himself. Kane blew a gasket in their match and choke slammed Rollins and attacked JnJ security. Kane put Rollins on top of himself for the pin and did what he thought was "best for business". Rollins chose the stipulation that the Rko was banned and Orton chose that their match would be inside a steel cage. In the following weeks tensions boiled between Rollins and Kane which made HHH to appoint Kane as the 'gatekeeper' of the match.
During the steel cage match at Extreme rules , Kane entered the cage followed by JnJ trying to calm Kane down but was double chokeslammed. Orton and Rollins felt kane's wrath as he chokeslammed them both and put Rollins on top of Orton for the cover , which orton kicked out. Orton RKO'd Kane but Rollins then RKO'd Orton and escaped the cage, retaining his title.
Kane on the next night on Raw, allowed the fans to choose Rollins's opponent for PAYBACK. The fans voted it for a triple threat match involving Roman Reigns and Randy orton. On the next Raw , Kane made a match between Rollins and Dean Ambrose, in which if Ambrose won , he would be added to the title match at Payback. Ambrose Won the match, thus making the match a fatal 4 way.

At elimination chamber ppv, Rollins was set to face Dean Ambrose for the title which he retained.
At the Money in the bank ppv, Rollins once again faced Ambrose but this time in a ladder match. The match had a controversial finish but Rollins retained the title.
The next night on RAW, the Authority named Brock lesnar as the next contender for the title at Battleground 2015. Rollins , JnJ security and Kane later beat down Brock lesnar. Rollins repaid JnJ by giving them a brand new Cadillac SUV and Kane , a trip to Hawai. Brock lesnar returned the next week and destroyed the SUV and took out JnJ security.
The next week on Raw, Kane returned back from his vacation and devised a plan to take out Brock but the plan backfired. Brock smashed Kane's ankle with the steel steps. After Lesnar left, Rollins who scurried away earlier , came back and injured Kane's leg further.
At Battleground, Rollins without anyone from the Authority in his corner faced Brock lesnar in the main event. Lesnar took Rollins to the Suplex city delivering multiple german suplexes during the match. Brock lesnar was closing in on the championship win , when the unthinkable happened......
The lights went out.....
and when it came back, The phenom , Undertaker was standing in the middle of the ring. Undertaker attacked Lesnar and delivered 2 tombstones to him. The match ended in a no contest. However on the following night, the victory was awarded to Lesnar due to outside interference.
The next night on RAW, John cena challenged Seth Rollins for the title but he declined. The next week, The Authority made a match between Cena and Rollins for the United states championship. During the match , Cena suffered a broken nose but still won the match.
Next week Rollins challenged John cena at Summerslam to a match for both WWE and US championship. He also issued an open WWE world heavyweight championship challenge, but he had 2 conditions: The opponent must be under 6 feet and under 200 pounds. El torrito's music started playing but then it stopped and out came Neville.After a close match-up, with several close pin falls for Neville, Rollins emerged the victor.
The next week on Raw, a triple threat match was made between Kevin Owens, Cesaro and Randy orton where the winner would face Seth rollins for the title that night.

But the attempt was thwarted by Orton as he hit the RKO on Sheamus even before cashing in his MITB contract.
At that week's episode of WWE Tough Enough, John Cena answered to the challenge of Rollins for the Title vs Title match at Summerslam.
During the last RAW before SummerSlam, Seth rollins asked the Authority to make a statue of him and place it near the WWE legends at the WWE headquarters. HHH said they may consider his proposal provided he wins both titles at SummerSlam. In the contract signing for their match later that night, Cena said his payback is easy as he vowed to win the WWE world heavyweight title at SummerSlam and become a world champion for the 16th time thus tying up with the all time record held by Ric Flair, HHH's mentor.
John cena after winning the United states championship has defended it a total of 13 times against : Dean ambrose, Stardust , Bad news Barette, Kane, Rusev (2 times in a Russian chain match & I quit match ), Sami Zayn , Neville, Zack Ryder, Cesaro (2), Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins.
At Summerslam, both superstars put a clinic hitting each other with signature moves of WWE legends (frog splash by Rollins and Figure 4 by John cena). During the match, the referee was inadvertently knocked down. At that time, ever the oppurtunist Rollins kicked Cena in the nose. John stewart , the Host of summerslam ( who had major issues with Rollins in the past) came out and hit John cena with a steel chair. Rollins immediately delivered a pedigree to Cena on that chair itself and pinned Cena for the victory and making history in the WWE, thus becoming the only man to hold both the WWE world heavyweight championship and the United States championship simultaneously.

The next night on Raw, Jon Stewart explained about his actions , that he didn't want to see Ric Flair's title record broken by John Cena but Cena didn't wanted to hear any of that and he delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Jon Stewart. He also promised to meet Seth Rollins in the ring later that night during the unveiling of Seth Rollin's bronze statue. The Authority saw to that did not happen as they had security escort John cena out of the arena.
During the unveiling ceremony Sting, "the vigilante" appeared in place of Rollin's bronze statue and attacked Rollins. Sting finished Raw that night holding the WWE world heavyweight championship above his head. Later, in the WWE network, HHH made a match between Sting and Seth Rollins for the WWE world heavyweight championship at Night of Champions 2015.
