After succesfully defending the WWE title against Big show, while celebrating Randy Orton was interupted by John Cena which would eventually lead to the champion vs champion match.
The world heavyweight championship was officially retired after the TLC 2013 unification match on 9th december 2013.
The first WWE world heavyweight champion was Randy orton. Orton beat John Cena in a TLC match to unify the championship.
WWE continues the WWE world heavyweight championship as the WWE title.
